The ASX-listed aged care provider has filed new plans with the Western Australian Planning Commission.

Regis Aged Care is pursuing a $50 million aged care development in Shenton Park, 5km west of the Perth CBD.

The application falls under the Shenton Park Hospital Redevelopment Improvement Scheme No. 1, established in 2017 to guide development of the 16-hectare former hospital site, known as the Montario Quarter, in Shenton Park, 5km west of the Perth CBD.

The proposed home will be named Regis Montario.

The proposed site

The DA relates to the site at Lot 42 (No. 10) Thorburn Way and Lot 43 (No. 27) Seymour Avenue, Shenton Park.

The plans include a 183-bed aged care home, including 21 suites and 163 studios, over four storeys.

Also featured are lounges, dining areas, a self-serve café, day spa, cinema and chapel, outdoor areas, courtyard, and terraces.

The architect is MJA Studio while the consultants on the project, who submitted the DA on behalf of Regis, are SLR Consulting Australia.

Regis targets 10,000 beds

With more than 8,400 aged care beds today, Regis has set a target 10,000 beds by FY28.

The company recorded a 14.5% increase in revenue in FY25 to $1.2 billion while its EBITDA rose 17% to $125.8 million.

Andrew Kinkade

In April, the company said its FY26 earnings would come in at around $135 million, the top end of guidance.

Regis appointed former Bupa boss Andrew Kinkade as its new CEO in April, after long-time incumbent Linda Mellors stepped down.

The Shenton Park project is now open to feedback with public comment closing on 16 August 2026.
