The Not For Profit has added the Yallambee Millmerran Centenary Retirement Village Inc. (pictured) in Millmerran, 80km southwest of Toowoomba, to its three aged care facilities and four retirement villages across northwest NSW and QLD’s Darling Downs.
Yallambee was established in 1984 to provide residential aged care and independent living services and was recently refurbished and extended in July 2019.
However, the facility faced “ongoing challenges including sector reforms”, according to McLean, and its board elected to transfer ownership.
Yallambee failed five of the eight new Aged Care Quality Standards during a site audit by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) in September 2019
