Delivering four retirement living units 100km west of Geraldton, WA

1 min read

The four one- and two-bedroom units in Mullewa, 462km north of Perth and 99km east of Geraldton, are specifically designed to allow local Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to live independently and access support services as they age.

The project is being funded by $1.58 million from the WA Government and by the Midwest Employment and Economic Development Aboriginal Corporation (MEEDAC) which was set up in 1997 to provide employment and training opportunities for Aboriginal people.

Its business manager Milton Milloy says: “We will now be able to provide assistance to those in Mullewa and allow them to stay in their local area, where they are close to friends and family.”
