This Friday we will launch a weekly newsletter for retirement village residents, plus their friends and their families.
Titled Frank and Ernest, its objective is to stimulate conversation.
Approximately 25% of its content will touch on retirement villages, aged care issues and ageing issues; the balance will be stimulating opinion, views and a bit of fun.
Village residents are wise and worldly people who are part of our community; they just happen to live in retirement villages.
Why Frank and Earnest? Well, I am going to write some of the opinion pieces and at times I can be frank. My colleague Keryn Curtis will also be a major contributor and she is by nature more ernest.
Behind the newsletter is a website which encourages discussion and feedback. Engaging the village community across Australia.
We will be emailing you the newsletter and ask that if you find it has value that you pass it on to the residents in your villages. If they like it they can subscribe themselves.
We will also provide you with a poster to place on notice boards.
This should be fun and with 180,000 village residents, all with friends and family, we have quite a community to strike a conversation with.
