ECH appoints new CFO
ECH appoints new CFO amid sector growth
- Leadership move: Jonathon Grant joins ECH as CFO
- Strong background: 20+ years across disability and NFP sectors
- Growth focus: Experience in scaling services and leading transformation
- Strategic role: Appointment supports expansion and sector change
After more than seven years as Novita’s chief financial officer and company secretary, Jonathon Grant is shifting from the disability sector to retirement living and home care.
He has been appointed ECH’s new chief financial officer, as South Australia’s largest retirement living and home care provider strengthens its executive team amid growth and sector change.
Jonathon has more than two decades of senior finance, governance and transformation experience across the disability, community services and Not For Profit sectors.

ECH Chief Executive Alan Morrison said Jonathon’s appointment would support ECH’s continued focus on delivering quality, sustainable services for older South Australians.
“Jonathon is a highly respected finance leader with a strong commercial discipline and a genuine commitment to organisations that are driven by purpose,” he said.
“His experience guiding organisations through growth, reform and increasing regulatory complexity will be a significant asset for ECH as we continue to respond to change across the sector.”
ECH said Jonathan was previously the Chief Financial Officer at two disability service providers, SACARE and Novita Services, where he supported significant organisational growth and oversaw mergers and digital transformation initiatives.
“During these tenures, he increased revenue growth, scaled services nationally, strengthened governance and led financial and ICT reform across each organisation,” said the Not For Profit.
Jonathan’s appointment comes after former CFO, Merrin Nancarrow, moved into another executive team role as ECH’s Head of Home & Community.
Established in 1964 as a Profit-For-Purpose organisation, ECH employs more than 800 people and supports over 7,000 clients and residents through its network of 109 villages, wellness centres and in-home services, across Adelaide, Adelaide Hills and Victor Harbor.
