Resthaven Inc. (SA) to spend $30M replacing its 121 bed/68 room Westbourne Park home

Resthaven Incorporated has sought planning approval to demolish and rebuild its 121-bed Westbourne Park residential aged care home in Adelaide for $30 million.

The Adelaide-based Not For Profit aged care community service associated with the Uniting Church in Australia has submitted its planning application to demolish the existing facility and replace the 68 rooms to Plan SA. Resthaven Incorporated wants to build five new wings across two floors. However, the home will maintain the existing number of 121 bedrooms.

A Resthaven Incorporated spokesman said the project embraced a “small house” aged care model providing a more “homely and personalised living environment” with 69 car spaces.

“This is a large investment in upgrading the amenity that Resthaven can offer to current and future residents and ensuring we continue to meet increasing community expectations,” he added.
