Reflecting the prestige the group was given by the American hosts was a full afternoon briefing by Winthrop Marshall, the National Chairman of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging [AAHSA], representing 5800 US operators. Significantly the Australian contingent learned firsthand about the American rollout of the continuing care model and its varying degree of success.
