TAFE SA aged care course reinstated following damning independent review

1 min read

As we reported here in December, its Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) was one of 14 training courses suspended by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) from taking new enrolments last week after failing to meet standards.

An independent review by the Nous Group commissioned by the former Labor Government found TAFE’s cost-cutting to better compete with private training groups had come at the expense of the quality and amount of training provided.

But the ASQA says TAFE SA has provided sufficient evidence it has fixed the most serious problems with the courses. It now has 20 days to fix minor non-compliance issues.
