Two in two days: Serenitas’ $15M+ clubhouse push
Serenitas accelerates clubhouse builds across Thyme communities
- Demand signal: Rapid development reflects strong land lease demand
- Construction milestone: Clubhouse works begin at Canungra and Rothwell
- Product positioning: Resort-style amenities central to offering
- Major brand: Serenitas supports 7,700 homeowners nationally
Strong demand for land lease communities is driving rapid development, with Serenitas investing more than $15 million in two new clubhouses.
In October last year, work started on 167-home Thyme Lifestyle Resort Canungra. Now construction has begun on a new multimillion-dollar Clubhouse, marking a milestone for the community in the foothills of the Lamington National Park, 90km south of Brisbane and 36km from the Gold Coast.
The Clubhouse will feature an outdoor swimming pool and spa with poolside lounges, gym, fitness studio, bowling green, pickleball court, indoor and outdoor dining spaces, cinema and sports bar.
The sod-turning ceremony was led on Wednesday, 15 April, by Serenitas QLD & NSW State Development Head Blair Britton, Serenitas Development Manager at Thyme Canungra Michael Karolvic, QLD State Sales Manager Greg Paul and Tom Court, Director of Land Lease for the Property Council of Australia.
“The Clubhouse will form the heart of the community, offering generous social spaces and premium facilities that support an active, connected lifestyle in a relaxed natural setting,” Serenitas CEO Von Slater said.
Just 24 hours earlier, the 192-home Thyme Lifestyle Resort Rothwell, which was launched 12 months ago, also officially began construction on its new multimillion-dollar Clubhouse, 35km north of Brisbane.
“With a range of premium facilities including a swimming pool and spa, bowling green, pickleball, cinema, a hobby shed and multiple dining areas, homeowners can look forward to living a social lifestyle at their pace,” said Von.
That sod-turning ceremony was led by City of Moreton Bay, Deputy Mayor, Jodie Shipway, Serenitas QLD & NSW State Development Head Blair Britton, Serenitas Development Manager at Thyme Canungra Michael Karolvic, and QLD State Sales Manager Greg Paul.
The Clubhouse is scheduled to open in Autumn 2027.
Thyme Lifestyle Resorts is operated by Serenitas, who have more than 7,700 homeowners nationwide.
