WA: State Govt delivers on promise for more land for villages and aged care, plus it ‘kicks the bucket’

1 min read

Mark McGowan’s Government will ‘kick the bucket’ and contribute land in isolated Westonia, 312km west of Perth, to the Central East Aged Care Alliance (CEACA) to develop independent living units.

CEACA is a not-for-profit association that has a six-year program to build 187 units across the 11 Wheatbelt shires in order to keep elderly people living within the region.

As we reported here, the WA Government has set up an aged care working group to fast-track the availability of State-owned land and property for aged care facilities.
