WA’s Baptistcare sets up pop up COVID-19 testing clinics for staff

Is this a measure we will see more providers taking up?

The Not For Profit is encouraging all staff to be tested for COVID-19 – even if they are not showing symptoms – by rolling out pop up DETECT clinics across a number of regional and metropolitan sites this week.

The WA Health Department expanded its asymptomatic COVID-19 testing program last week, pledging to increase testing for a number of groups including aged care staff, school staff, transport workers and tourism industry employees.

Baptistcare CEO, Russell Bricknell, says they were keen to support the program.

“The testing is completely voluntary, but it is one of the simplest ways to understand if WA has undetected cases in our community which will ultimately protect our vulnerable residents, customers and employees,” he said.
