Anglicare/Infinite home opens

Autumn Aged Care, owned by Infinite Aged Care, has opened its 205-bed Hampton Lodge, 36km southeast of the Melbourne CBD, this week.

The brand new, purpose-built home features rooms in a variety of sizes, with ensuite, and the option for couple rooms. Residents have access to a cocktail lounge, cinema room, landscaped courtyards, hairdressing salon, library, games and exercise room, with lounges and sitting areas across the home.

RADs range from $575,000 to $630,000.

Autumn Aged Care was acquired by Infinite Aged Care in May. Infinite Care itself has been acquired by Anglicare Sydney, expanding Anglicare Sydney's footprint to four states.

Opal Healthcare home opens next month

Meanwhile, Australia's largest aged care operator, Opal Healthcare, completed its three-storey 160-bed Clyde North Terrace Care Community, 50km southeast of the CBD, and expects to open doors in August.

The home features private rooms with ensuites, and has been designed for operational efficiency and resident-focused amenity.

Each level includes a resident kitchen and dining rooms, and there is a central café, hair salon and Wellness Centre for reablement and restorative care.

Natural light and access to outdoor spaces are key features of the design. A majority of the bedrooms have balconies or terraces, and there is a dedicated memory care courtyard for residents living with dementia.

Opal Healthcare is accepting enquiries.

Builders on the project were APM Group with ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects.

Opal HealthCare operates 138 aged care homes, and is actively expanding its footprint. In March, it acquired five aged care homes in New South Wales from high-end private operator Cranbrook Care. It has several developments underway and is investing in co-located aged care homes in retirement communities, alongside major retirement living developers Aveo and Levande.

Opal Healthcare is 50% owned by Pacific Equity Partners (PEP), one of Australia’s oldest and most successful private equity firms, and 50% owned by Singaporean investors GK Goh Holdings.
