The community-owned Not For Profit Bedingfeld Park has completed the expansion of its 45-bed aged care home in Pinjarra, 85km south of Perth, adding a 25-bed dementia wing for residents with high support needs.

Mark McGowan’s Government put $2 million towards the build by Crothers Construction which incorporated a new nurse’s station, common areas, treatment and utility rooms and areas for training and support.

“This new wing will allow Bedingfeld to meet more of the demand for aged care services with increase quality for senior residents in Peel,” said WA Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan at the site’s opening.

Bedingfield has been operating the Pinjarra facility since 1983.
