AACQA begins pilot for home care Consumer Experience Reports

1 min read

The next big area for media inspection. The Australian Aged Care Quality Agency (AACQA) is carrying out the home care pilot program between August and September, with the Australian Institute for Primary Care and Ageing (AIPCA) at La Trobe University commissioned to develop the questions, which will be linked to the new Aged Care Quality Standards.

Interestingly, La Trobe are reviewing the consumer experience questions currently used for aged care to further refine them based on the first 12 months of feedback from stakeholders too.

Part of the pilot testing will also include trialling a range of methods for consumers to provide feedback including telephone interviews, online (or hard copy) surveys and face-to-face interviews during visits to services – ensuring all residents can have their say.
