Peak bodies ACSA and LASA are teaming up with the Not For Profit aged care provider to deliver a two-hour national Christmas celebration to lift the spirits of Australians in aged care and retirement living.

Hosted by Studio 10 presenter Narelda Jacobs (pictured above), the Big Christmas Sing-A-Long is set to be broadcast to a potential audience of over 3,000 aged care homes across Australia next Thursday, 17 December.

Joining Ms Jacobs on the livestream will be a range of Australian celebrities including Johnny Young, Normie Rowe AM, Kamahl and Ernie Dingo.

Home care clients along with residential care and retirement village residents, their families and communities are also being asked to pre-record video Christmas carols and festive messages to be included in the Sing-A-Long.

“The idea is to help restore older people’s lives and feelings in a positive way, with support and inspiration through this special event,” said RFBI CEO Frank Price.

“The wonderful thing is that everyone can join legendary entertainers in the broadcast.”

You can tune in to the broadcast on Thursday, 17 December, between 1-3pm AEST.
