AEH retirement living will push ahead with a $15M senior housing extension in Lake Macquarie after getting the Council’s green light.
The retirement village operator will add 60 independent living units to its Sugar Valley Lifestyle Estate, on the outskirts of Newcastle.
Presently, the village offers a nine-hole golf course, and the clubhouse will be upgraded to make room for the 20 one-bedroom and 40 two-bedroom units.
At a height of 12.59 metres, the council approval required a 48 per cent variation to standard building height limits for the area.
