ARRCS’s aged care facility at Kaltukatjara, NT, to be rebuilt

1 min read

UnitingCare’s Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS), which supports people from Darwin to Kaltukatjara in the NT through aged care and disability services, mental health support, childcare and regional home care services, residential aged care and school nutrition programs, is to rebuild Tjilpi Pampaku Ngura Flexible Aged Care in Kaltukatjara.

The rebuild will include:

  • 26 resident rooms with ensuites, including two palliative care beds;
  • Resident communal areas; and
  • kitchen, laundry, administrative areas, and staff amenities.

The rebuild is near the existing Tjilpi Pampaku Ngura Flexible Aged Care service.

“That means our residents can stay where they are at Tjilpi Pampaku Ngura Flexible Aged Care, and we can continue providing services without disruption and watch our vision come to life,” said Wendy Hubbard, General Manager for ARRCS.

The rebuild is being paid for by the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care (NATSIFAC) Program.
