In November 2013 we conducted a McCrindle Bayne Village Census that included 931 residents across 60 Aveo villages as part of the overall Census of 4,933 residents across 236 villages. 17 village operators (11 private and seven Not For Profits) were represented.
The confidential pen and paper survey was executed by McCrindle Research and made up of 49 questions.
Question 37 was “Would you make the same decision to move into this village again”?
The results for the Aveo villages were almost identical to the entire sector – see the chart above.
As we do with every McCrindle Baynes Village Census, we identified the people who had moved into the village in the past 24 months and separated their results out, as they have the most recent memory of why they chose to move into a village and best judgement of whether it was the right decision or not.
98% of these 1,012 people in the census said they would make the same decision again to move into a village, which is a different presentation of sentiments to that presented by Four Corners and Fairfax.
