Benetas expands Victorian CHSP services as Councils pull out

1 min read

Benetas has officially taken over providing Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services for residents across Latrobe, Baw Baw and Hepburn Shires in Victoria’s Gippsland and Rural North West regions.

The Not For Profit provider will deliver the services previously handled by local governments, which have increasingly pulled out of providing aged care services owing to changes coming in the Federal Government’s new Support at Home Program.

According to Benetas CEO Sandra Hills OAM (pictured), the appointment by these Councils reflects the provider’s trusted position in aged care.

“This trust is due in part to the way we interact with our customers. We respect and value differences in nationality, race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, social background, disability, family or marital status, age and political opinion.

“Key to our success is employing caring and passionate team members, and recognising that what they do matters. They in turn provide quality services to our customers,” she said.

Benetas is opening up new offices in Daylesford, Traralgon and Warragul, and will recruit new staff members and volunteers to meet local demand.
