The Health Services Union is directly targeting Labor, Liberal and Nationals politicians to get an additional $5 billion more in aged care funding now.
With 25,000 members working in the aged care sector, the HSU is particularly targeting Labor politicians, saying ‘aged care is core business’ for the party. That said, on their website, the attack is 100% on the Government.
The HSU has developed a multimedia campaign titled “Eldercare’, which will target individual politicians.
They are quoted in the Australian to be “agitating at all levels, left and right, to ensure aged care funding is an issue that can be proactively dealt with.”
They say the government was “putting on sunscreen” while confronting an aged care funding “tsunami”.
