Another major retirement development has been submitted for the NSW Far North Coast.
Crowley Care Services, a registered charity belonging to the small Catholic Parish of St Francis Xavier Ballina, has submitted plans to Ballina Shire Council for a two-storey building with 26 self-contained apartments for seniors.
The project would replace six existing single-storey buildings, containing 14 bedroom independent living units, known as Florence Price Place Villas.
The development application by Ardill Payne and Partners on behalf of Crowley Care Services, follows the approval of a 127-site village at nearby Skennars Head by land lease operator GemLife.
