Indigo by Moran: first look at Narrabeen village replacing Wesley Taylor site

1 min read

A Sustainability Report by Northrop Consulting Engineers has revealed the first full scope for Indigo by Moran – a $220 million redevelopment of the 9,234sqm former Wesley Taylor Village and Residential Aged Care site in Narrabeen, 23km north-east of Sydney’s CBD.

Prepared for Centurion Project Management, the report outlines demolition of existing buildings, site works and construction of a new seniors’ living community to be assessed as a NSW State Significant Development application.

Shane Moran, Founder and CEO of Retirement by Moran, indicated at the April opening of Sage by Moran in Cronulla that the project would house 120-130 residents. The new documentation sets out a larger scheme comprising:

  • 149 Independent Living Units
    – 44 x two-bedroom
    – 58 x two-bedroom + study
    – 47 x three-bedroom
  • 10 Care Suites (residential aged care)
  • Administration facilities
  • Communal garden terrace, plus a street-level courtyard with extensive landscaping
  • Three-level basement for parking and communal amenities including a fitness centre, 20m pool with changerooms, subterranean water garden, infra-red sauna, salon and a cinema

Indigo by Moran would be the group’s largest project to date. For comparison, the eight-storey Sage by Moran delivers 37 two- and three-bedroom apartments, while Rose by Moran in Wahroonga comprises 33 apartments.
