‘It just makes you feel good’: Florida, margaritas and retirement!

Developers of the land lease-style village Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach – an hour north of Orlando, USA – were presented with an award for ‘Best over 55s community for 2018’.

The community – just one of a chain of villages named after Jimmy Buffet’s hit 1977 song – sold 412 homes across 2018.

The tropical-themed Latitude site includes a residents-only town centre and a private beach club, with a resort-style pool, fitness centre and bandshell stage for live music (featuring an 18-foot-wide video screen) currently in development.
