MyAgedCare has been beset by complaints from consumers and providers since it launched in July 2014.
Now the Federal Government has announced trials for a new system to guide consumers and their families through the aged care process.
The trial will include:
- 30 retail-style aged care information hubs to provide locally targeted information
- 20 community hubs to enable people to support each other in navigating aged care and healthy ageing
- Six full time equivalent specialists in consumer-focused organisations to offer one-on-one support
The trials are expected to start in January 2019 and end in June 2020 and tenders close on Tuesday 23 October 2018 at 2pm AEDT – you can download the documents HERE.
