Hybrid retirement living rental village with care support opens in Murray Bridge

1 min read

The "care concierge" concept is flexing its muscle as a future concept for retirement villages.

The community not-for-profit Murray Mallee Aged Care Group is opening the gates on its new Warner Close Retirement Living Village of 50 one bedroom studio style villas.

With full retirement village facilities, it promotes no DMF but a rental model based on a percentage of the aged pension.

“The services include personal care: such as help with showering, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, eating and fitting sensory communication aids”.

“Support services such as house cleaning, gardening, basic home maintenance, home modifications (related to care needs), and transport to help with shopping, visiting doctors or attending social activities. Clinical care such as nursing, allied health and other therapies”.

A husband-and-wife management team live on site, overseeing delivery of services.

This is a step up in concierge support. Ingenia operates 26 rental villages and has an overriding resident care planning service (at no charge), that checks residents approximately every six months and advisory services.
