Lifestyle Communities CEO James Kelly says its newest flagship land lease community, Lifestyle Meridian, in Clyde North, 46km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD, is the ‘smartest and most connected’ community the business has ever built.

Lifestyle Meridian will feature a solar and battery-powered micro-grid. The community will also have fibre-optic cable to provide high speed internet.

“The batteries will kick in at peak times when the use of power surges. This will save the residents about 50% of their power bill. This is the affordable living we have built our name on,” said Mr Kelly.

The community’s micro-grid means high-speed internet and Lifestyle Meridian also provides all homes with free Netflix for one year. There also have motor vehicle electricity charging stations and the free use of a Hyundai Ioniq electric car.

Mr Kelly said construction has started with building of the first stage of houses starting next month. When it is completed in three years, there will be 275 homes. Homes go from $370,000 to $590,000.

Lifestyle Meridian will be the Lifestyle Communities’ fifth community within Melbourne’s rapidly expanding southeast growth corridor, adding to its communities in Berwick Waters, Kaduna Park, Officer and Casey Fields.
