Mainstream media don’t know their aged care from retirement … again

1 min read

This time it is NBN Television, which has its headquarters in Newcastle, NSW, that has mixed up aged care with retirement.

The Nine Entertainment-owned regional television station in Australia is the only one to produce a one-hour news bulletin and recently dedicated a section to the Aged Care Housing Boom on the North Coast and featured The Shoreline, providing retirement and Residential Aged Care in Coffs Harbour.

The first two stages of the $150 million The Shoreline development, headed by the Bachrach Naumburger Group, are almost complete, consisting of 74 upmarket independent retirement units and a 120-bed aged care centre.

“Retirement living with class,” exclaims Shoreline’s website, which has sold 50 per cent of homes in Stage 1.
