The Government has been seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from developers, operators and investors to build and run their Darwin Rural Seniors’ Lifestyle Accommodation development on Crown land at Coolalinga, 29km southeast of the CBD.
The area is part of a new commercial precinct that includes shops, nature reserves and a public bus interchange, and is 9km from the recently opened Palmerston Regional Hospital.
A KPMG feasibility study in 2017 also found there is a demand for seniors’ accommodation in the Darwin Rural area – will it be enough to attract bidders, however?
The EOI closes on 14 December 2018.
