Phil Usher’s Odyssey Robina announces second stage private aged care

1 min read

Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities is launching its second stage of development in Robina on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Odyssey offers Five Star private aged care. It’s Phil Usher’s first project since he sold his three village private aged care business Tall Trees to Freedom Aged Care (now Aveo) in 2015.

The second stage of the community will include 48 new apartments. It will also feature an entire level designed specifically for seniors with memory issues.

Hutchinson Builders, who built stage one of Odyssey, will also construct the second stage, which will include architecturally appointed skybridges on every level to connect the new tower to one of the existing towers.

“The skybridges will be akin to having a park at the end of the street where everyone can come together socially,” said Mr Usher.

His next project is on Chevron Island opposite Surfers Paradise, and again partners with Justin Laboo’s Catalyst REIT.
