Over 80% of residents at the WA Not For Profit’s Bentley Park village voted in favour of the refurbishment which will see a range of sport and recreation facilities built on the site.
SwanCare Chief Executive Officer Graham Francis says the project is the most ambitious development to take place at the 15-hectare site, which was established in 1961 and is home to around 1,000 residents across the village and three aged care facilities, making it the largest single-site village and aged care community in WA.
SwanCare says they will also add another aged care facility to be completed in 2019 after being awarded 120 beds in the latest Aged Care Approvals Round (ACAR).
