Following last week's approval for 54 assisted living apartments at its nearby Tarragal Glen village, the operator is now selling 70 premium Care apartments priced at $525,000 at its Glengara Retirement Village at Tumbi Umbi.
The apartments feature a separate bedroom, lounge area, bathroom and kitchenette with high level day-to-day living support, clinical services and community connection including 24/7 care support and meals plus shared access to the village’s facilities.
RetireAustralia General Manager of Operations and Care, Simon Fawssett, said the new model was a direct response to the changing expectations of families.
“We have listened to their concerns and all the things about traditional aged care services that people don’t like,” Mr Fawssett said.
RetireAustralia now plans to introduce this model at its other locations, saying modelling shows the apartments are affordable for most full or part pensioners.
