Shane Moran’s Provectus Care to launch first Alzheimer’s care facility in Shanghai

1 min read

The 60-bed facility, due to open in July, is a joint venture 70% owned by the Hong Kong-listed Greenland Hong Kong, 20% by Provectus and 10% by Shanghai International Medical Center.

As we reported here last year, Provectus had already signed a deal with Greenland, which is one of China’s largest developers, to build five care facilities in China under the brand Sunshine Australia.

Mr Moran, a Sinophile who speaks Mandarin, has over 35 years’ experience in the health and aged care industries and has been involved in the development of over 120 medical and aged care facilities worldwide, said the venture “will be one of the many projects we have in partnership with Greenland Hong Kong and SIMC in our pipeline”.

Greenland has also launched its own Health Investment Co Ltd which is seeking to invest in the nursing and healthcare sectors.
