Richmond Valley Mayor Robert Mustow turned the first sod for civil works for Serenitas’ second land lease development, Thyme Lifestyle Resort, at Evans Head in Northern NSW.

The 7.9ha lifestyle village for the over 50s will include modern, architecturally designed homes and resort-style facilities.

“Thyme Lifestyle Resort will set the new standard for over 50s lifestyle communities in the North Coast of NSW,” Serenitas CEO Rob Nichols (pictured above) said.

“Our focus is on creating luxurious yet affordable architecturally-designed homes in a safe and secure community just moments from the beach embracing the pristine location surrounded by waterways with excellent fishing spots, coastal walks, and in a region full of hidden gems and attractions waiting to be discovered. Our investment in this beautiful region will benefit local businesses and tourism, as well as the homeowners who will eventually call Thyme home.”

Serenitas, a joint venture between Tasman Capital Partners, an Australian-owned and focused private equity firm, and GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, had to postpone the official launch of the $122 million Thyme Lifestyle Resort Hervey Bay, Queensland, on 29 March due to COVID-19.

In May 2018, Serenitas bought all of the villages owned and operated by Western Australia’s market leader National Lifestyle Villages.
