Sydney aged care provider Riviera Health proposes $70 million flagship aged care facility and private hospital

1 min read

The family-owned provider, which has five aged care homes across Sydney, wants to build the five-storey 259-bed facility and 104-bed private hospital at Mt Druitt, 43km west of the CBD.

When approved, the development will almost double Riviera’s number of aged care places from 313 to over 500.

Residents have told the Daily Tele the size of the building will put a strain on traffic and parking in the area, but Riviera’s spokesperson said a traffic and parking impact assessment report had shown the 125 car spaces provided well exceeded demand.

Established in 2000, Riviera has also recently refurbished its existing Jenny Lynn nursing home in Brighton Le Sands.
