Catholic Health Australia lands new CEO as Geraldine Lannon resurfaces
- Leadership locked: Tim Udorovic appointed CHA CEO after nine-month search
- Policy focus: New CEO to lead CHA’s next three-year strategy rollout
- Sector return: Ex-BaptCare CEO joins St Vincent’s Private Hospitals Victoria
- Executive roles: Not For Profit health and aged care leaders on the move
After a nine-month search the peak body Catholic Health Australia has named its Chief Executive Officer.
And Geraldine Lannon, the former Chief Executive Officer of BaptCare, has a new executive role.
Tim Udorovic, Chief of Staff at the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools for the past two years and nine months, will become Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Health Australia. He is due to start in late July.
Tim's appointment follows a nine-month search for a replacement for former Catholic Health Australia CEO Jason Kara, who resigned in August last year.
Catholic Health Australia Director of Health Policy Dr Katharine Bassett will act in the CEO role until Tim starts. She replaces Kathy Hilyard who was interim CEO following Jason’s departure.

Tim, who will be based in Melbourne, has also been a senior ministerial adviser in federal and state governments, and was a management consultant at financial services organisation KPMG Australia.
“By listening closely to our members, championing their impact and advocating strongly for policy settings that support better outcomes, CHA will continue to be a trusted voice for members, driven by a shared commitment to human dignity, compassion and the common good,” Tim said.
Catholic Health Australia chair Jenny Parker said Tim is charged with leading the implementation of a new three-year strategy "that will guide our work as the largest network of Not For Profit health, aged care and community providers in Australia”.
“Our hospitals and aged care providers are deeply valued by the people and communities they serve, particularly the vulnerable and marginalised. It is their mission of care and compassion that defines them.”
Geraldine Lannon
The former Deputy Chair of peak body Ageing Australia has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of St Vincent’s Private Hospitals Victoria.
"St Vincent’s is renowned for its industry-leading research, education, and commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to the communities it serves," Geraldine said.
"I am looking forward to working alongside Richard Ryan (Chief Executive Officer Private Hospitals Division), Chris Blake (Chief Executive Officer St Vincent’s Health Australia), the Board and Executive, dedicated clinicians, staff, volunteers and stakeholders to contribute to the ongoing success and mission of St Vincent’s."
