A great initiative from the SA Not For Profit.
Uniting Communities has received 10,000 calls to a support line created to support individuals struggling with their mental health amid the pandemic.
Chief executive Simon Schrapel AM says in total, the Support Line – which is funded by SA Health – has worked with more than 6,300 individuals in its seven months of operation.
Uniting Communities’ Support Line currently provides:
- Counselling over the phone or via video calls or online chat
- Referrals to a range of services
- Follow up calls to check in
- Call backs if you need a message
The service is open from 8am to 9pm every day to support people who need help.
