NZ’s second-largest village operator opened a Melbourne office here in May, headed up by its new General Manager of Development for Australia Paul Morris, formerly General Manager of Development in NZ.
Summerset CEO Julian Cook has told the NZ Herald that the more work they do here, the more they see that it’s an attractive market.
“We’re considering Victoria generally. We believe it’s under-served by quality retirement village offerings. There are few who are offering a continuum of care,” naming NZ-based rival Ryman Healthcare as one example.
