The company, formerly known as Group Homes Australia, continues to expand.
Videri Australia is about to open a new dementia care residence in Cherrybrook, 29km northwest of Sydney’s CBD, offering families a local alternative to traditional aged care facilities.
Cherrybrook is Videri Australia’s 24th home in Sydney designed to look, feel and function like a real home. Residents live in a familiar domestic environment, supported 24/7 by a dedicated Resident Care team and Homemakers who provide personalised care.
Videri has four more homes under development, including in Forestville and Wahroonga, set to open in 2027, and in the Sutherland Shire and Upper North Shore, due to open in 2028.

“Our vision has always been to revolutionise dementia care in Australia by replacing institutional models with real homes, real relationships and real daily life,” said Videri Australia CEO Leah Gabolinscy.
“Videri Cherrybrook means families in and around Cherrybrook, Castle Hill and Hornsby don’t have to move their loved one far from everything they know to access high‑quality dementia care. They can stay close to their GPs, communities and social networks, in a small home that truly feels like home.”

Dementia is now Australia’s leading cause of death, with around 466,500 Australians living with the condition, projected to reach one million by 2065.
Federal MP Julian Leeser, Member for Berowra, said Videri’s small-home model “centred on comfort, familiarity and a true sense of home, it provides a more personal and dignified option for local families, close to their community and support networks.”

“In each Videri home, daily life centres on familiar routines and meaningful activity. Shared meals, gardening, music, outings, and spontaneous moments of connection are prioritised over rigid schedules. This focus on the feeling of home helps reduce distress, support dignity and create a sense of belonging for residents and their families, which is so important,” Leah said.
The opening of Cherrybrook represents the next phase in Videri’s ambitious growth strategy. Since opening its first home in 2011, Videri has grown to 24 homes across Sydney, with further homes under development.
Homes are now spread across the Eastern Suburbs, Hunters Hill, Hornsby Shire, North Shore, Northern Beaches, Hills District, Inner West and Sutherland Shire.
