WA: Bethanie upgrades ageing Warwick retirement village – price tag $200K a unit

1 min read

Tallwood Constructions is currently spending $7 million to refurbish 35 existing units, plus building a new community centre, at the Not For Profit’s village, which was built in the 1980’s 16km north of the Perth CBD.

Just 11 residents currently occupy the village with the remaining 24 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments to be available from $255,000.

This compares to an average price of $370,000 for a two-bedroom townhouse in Warwick, reflecting Bethanie’s mission otherwise the refurbishment proposition doesn’t stack up.

The apartments are due to be complete in October 2020.
