The West Australian government has given the green light for Southern Cross Care WA to develop a new residential aged care and health and wellness precinct in Currambine.

The residence will accommodate 88 residential health care beds and 50 age-in-place apartments, providing residents with access to specialist medical care.

The development is located within walking distance of Currambine Train Station.

“This is an exciting new mixed-use development that will deliver much-needed aged care beds and housing for downsizers in the growing northern suburbs, creating an active community precinct that will benefit the wider region,” said WA Planning Minister Rita Saffioti.

“It is a major boost when these sorts of developments integrate with the needs of the local community and offer shared services as this one proposes to do.”
