$35M 200-bed aged care facility and 200 serviced apartments proposed for historic house in NSW Macarthur region

The development at Stratford House (pictured), built in 1887, in Tahmoor, 97km from Sydney’s CBD, will now be determined by the Western Sydney City Planning Panel after being put forward to the local Council last year by local developer Phil Purnell, who owns Common Ground Property.

The 13ha site’s award-winning gardens will be retained, while the historic home is planned to be converted into the administration base of the village, with libraries and recreational space also to feature.

If approved, the project will be delivered across 11 stages in a five-year period.
