Aged care facility and seniors living proposed for historic Stratford House site (NSW)

1 min read

A 120-bed facility and 220 seniors living dwellings were proposed for the 11.4-hectare site – located 95 kilometres south-west of Sydney CBD – last month.

Sydney Western City Planning Panel issued a Site Compatibility Certificate (SCC) for the proposed development, allowing for a development application to be lodged with Wollondilly Council.

Planning documents indicate that the 132-year-old Stratford House (pictured), owned by private company Common Ground Property (NSW), would be used by residents of the proposed aged care facility.

The maximum height of the proposed development has been capped at two storeys by the SCC.
