Aged care provider Rosewood picked to develop new home in Perth Hills

The West Australian Government has named aged care provider Rosewood and Boston Consulting Group to develop a new aged home in the Perth Hills.

Rosewood, which has homes in Leederville (pictured) and West Perth, has been an aged care provider in WA for almost 70 years.

Heidelberg Park in Carmel has been earmarked for the aged care home after a registration of interest process was completed. The State Government is providing around 10 hectares of land for the proposed development which will include both a residential aged care home and public open space and parkland.

“We have an ageing population in Western Australia, so increasing the availability of high-quality aged care accommodation is absolutely critical,” said Lands Minister John Carey.

“It was an election promise to deliver additional residential options for our seniors and I am glad we are continuing to fulfil that commitment.”

Mark McGowan’s Government announced in January last year that it would cut red tape to fast-track the construction of 2,000 aged care beds across the state.
