An aged care worker allegedly defrauded a Strathfield aged care home out of more than $650,000 between 2017 and 2020.
Auburn Police Area Command officers visited the 63-year-old woman’s Sydney Olympic Park home on 8 February after receiving a tip off that almost 80 fraudulent transactions – at an average of $8,000 each – had been made.
The aged care worker was charged with 78 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and issued with a future court attendance notice.
She is due to appear before the Burwood Local Court on 25 March.
