A Perth land lease community owned by KCM Nominees, a company part-owned by Parsons Group’s Kerry Parsons, is poised for major growth following a key planning decision.

The Western Australian Planning Commission’s Statutory Planning Committee has approved Champion Lakes Lifestyle Village’s application to add 68 over-55s homes plus car and caravan parking bays and communal infrastructure and take the community to 279 homes in total.

Clayton Plug, Jayde Sleight, Harley Dykstra, and Leah Butler appeared for Champion Lakes Lifestyle Village at the meeting on 10 June.

The new homes will form the fourth stage of the community, which is located in Champion Lakes, in the City of Armadale.

This stage follows:

  • 65 units built in Stage 1 after development approval in 2017, followed by minor amendments throughout 2019, 2020 and 2023;
  • Development approval for a further 68 units in Stage 2, which was granted in 2021, with an amendment approved in 2022; and
  • 78 homes in Stage 3, which was approved in 2022 and is almost complete.
