The Not For Profit BlueWave Living has received approval to expand its 139-bed aged care home at Woy Woy, 79km north of Sydney, to 159 beds.

The plan will add another 18 beds to the 1.62ha site with the reception, offices, kitchens, laundries, lounges, dining rooms, and outdoor areas to be built or refurbished.

Originally known as Woy Woy Community Care, BlueWave was founded in 1989 as a 40-bed aged care home and has expanded over the years, purchasing a neighbouring aged care home in 2016.
