BaptistCare NSW & ACT’s $60M 100-apartment Yarra Rossa sold out after nine months

The Not For Profit’s newest retirement village in the Canberra suburb of Red Hill has sold the last of its apartments.

The 100-apartment Yarra Rossa was built on the site of the ACT’s first aged care home, Morling Lodge, which BaptistCare opened in 1968 and is its first retirement village in the ACT.

“We’re very pleased to reach this milestone with the support of our sales and marketing partner, Marketability,” Allan Waters, General Manager Residential Services and Retirement Living, said.

Project sales specialist Alison Abel posed the news on LinkedIn.

“We’re excited to announce the sell down of all 100 apartments at Yarra Rossa Retirement Village,” she said.

“Yarra Rossa experienced COVID-19 restrictions, NSW/ACT lockouts and delays during the construction period. Despite these challenges we were able to increase the GSR (gross sales royalty) by 12% and sell out within nine months of the village opening.”
