Ingenia Lifestyle’s expansion in Far North Queensland is gathering momentum.

The first release of one- and two-bedroom homes has been secured before construction has even begun at Ingenia Lifestyle Kō in Gordonvale, 23km south of Cairns.

With homes priced up to $640,000 for the first stage, pricing for the second release will be announced soon. Businesses FGF Developments, Collins Construction FNQ, and Allaro Homes have also been contracted.

When complete, Ingenia Lifestyle Kō will feature 372 homes alongside a suite of resort-style amenities, including a clubhouse, pool, gym, dining spaces, and outdoor barbecue areas.

“We’re seeing strong interest from locals who want to stay in the Far North but are seeking a lower-maintenance lifestyle with greater opportunities for connection, wellbeing and community,” Ingenia Lifestyle Head of Development – Queensland, Adam Forrester, said.

“There’s something unique about this part of Queensland and Ingenia Lifestyle Kō has been created to reflect that, bringing together modern homes with the relaxed community focused way of life people already love.”

Named after the Hawaiian word for ‘sugar’, Ingenia Lifestyle Kō pays tribute to Gordonvale’s rich agricultural history with sugar cane farming. The region’s over-50s population is forecast to expand by more than 20,000 people by 2046.

Work on the first homes is expected to begin next month.
