NSW: St Vincent de Paul Housing opens 21-unit social housing village in Dubbo – 500 affordable units in the planning

1 min read

The units are the first of 500 social and affordable homes to be developed and run by the Not For Profit across metropolitan and regional NSW under a Social and Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF) contract from the state government in 2017.

Under the SAHF, five groups will deliver 2,200 units that offer coordinated access to support services.

19 of the units at St Faith’s in north Dubbo are currently occupied by tenants from the NSW Housing Register with eight designed to cater for tenants with disabilities.

St Vincent de Paul will build the rest of their 500 homes at Penrith, south Albury, Campbelltown, Lilyfield, Jordan Springs, Albury, Burraneer, Merrylands, Katoomba, Cardiff and Maitland.
