QLD developer Stockwell sought $1.9M concession on its third land lease community at Agnes Water, 480km north of Brisbane

Stockwell sought a $1.9 million discount on infrastructure charges after having a 201-home manufactured housing estate at Agnes Water approved.

Gladstone Regional Council, which refused Stockwell’s request, adopted an Infrastructure Charges Economic Development Incentive Scheme with the purpose of encouraging development in specific focus areas. The scheme provides a 50% discount on infrastructure charges up to $500,000 for development that meet specific criteria.

Gladstone Regional Council Mayor Matt Burnett said Stockwell can still apply for the $500,000 discount that would reduce the infrastructure charge from $4,707,749.80 to $4,207,749.80.

The five-stage ‘Stockwell Shores Estate’ development will be Stockwell’s third major development in Agnes Water, Queensland's most northern surfing beach, 122km north of Bundaberg.
